Packery Channel was cut out by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and completed on October 6th, 2006. 19th Century mariners use to call this the Corpus Christi Pass.
Today the Packery Channel offers many boaters great access to the Gulf of Mexico and the North & South Jetties offer anglers a great place to fish. Depending on the season you can catch redfish, black drum, speckled trout
